After leaving the defence force Kurt worked at a Private Practioner, from there he decided to start his career on his own in private practice. Kurt, is a healthcare practitioner, specialising as an Orthotist & Prosthetist, in Ballito, Dolphin Coast, KwaZulu-Natal since 2006. Prior to the Ballito practice, Kurt practised in Newcastle from 1990.
